Thermometer

Thermometer – Temperature is the measurable extents of hotness and coldness. It is a mathematical representation of heat. There are different units to measure temperature like Celsius (°c), Kelvin (K) and Fahrenheit (F).

Different types of thermometers are there according to their needs. There is one set of thermometers used only for body temperature while another for boiling part and freezing point for experiement.

Clinical Thermometers – It is to measure the human body temperature and every human body the average temperature is about 37 degrees Celsius. The body temperature can fall  within a wide range from 97F to 99F. Some peoples usually feels lower temperature in the morning and goes up during the day and it increases in the late afternoon or evening, Sometimes by as much as 1 or 2 degrees.  In a recent studies, the temperature records from three periods between  1860 and 2017, The average temperature slowly fell by about 1 degree to 97.5F. It is believed due to a combination of more accurate thermometers, lower rates of infections and to metabolic rates. Temperature higher than the normal body temperature, Which is not an illness but a symptoms that often occurs when the body is fighting an infection. A thermometer is the only way to know the accurate temperature before the doctor consultation.  Touch test and skin pinching are not reliable and you cannot find the accurate temperature.

Thermometers are used for measuring the temperature by the means of an electronic circuit. The information captures and sent to a microchip that process it and gets displayed numerically on the digital screen. They are easy to use, inexpensive and accurate. Digital thermometers can be considered to be advanced thermometers that are used for measuring body temperature. Before using turn on the thermometer and click till the number zero appears on the display. Place the tip of the thermometer under the armpit. Wait for a few seconds before you hear the alarm from the thermometer. And remove the thermometer and check for the temperature on the display. After the use, Clean the tip of the thermometer with cotton and alcohol.
